Our Story

One summer eve in 2019, Jake and Marjory met at a cooking class where she and her son were the students with Jake as the teaching chef.  On that first meeting Marjory knew she had a compelling potential guest in her midst as he was both a successful local entrepreneur and highly creative, so she invited Jake to be interviewed on her radio show on WABE-FM, 90.1.   When the interview was complete and the conversation continued, the commonalities between the two were unmistakable and the working relationship began.  Shortly after, Jake asked Marjory to represent him on some commercial retail listings at Irwin Street Market and and it soon became evident they could team up and go much bigger. And, as it turned out, they discovered that Jake’s dream project in Toccoa, Georgia fit right into Marjory’s vision for her future work in real estate investment and managing operations of a vacation and retreat venue.  And the work toward building The Waters of The Tugaloo began.  We hope you will join us in what will be a lucrative project going forward and as we stay at the leading edge of what many developers and investors will inevitably discover in Toccoa’s very bright future.
